Ginger Gosnell-Myers has been in extensive leadership roles, including the management of national projects to community-based initiatives on research, community development, and policy. She has comprehensive experience in consultation, research, policy writing, advocacy, and fundraising for the development of innovative initiatives with regards to Aboriginal peoples. Ginger’s methodologies are strongly based on envisioning and gathering pragmatic solutions, primarily through close consultation and fostering dialogue in Aboriginal communities, with emphases on long-term goals. Moreover, Ginger also has broad experience in lobbying for change with regards to dealings with Aboriginal children and youth at the highest decision making level of government. Ginger is an Action Canada 2004 Fellow, former Renewal Commissioner for the Assembly of First Nations, and is a co-founder of the Centre for Native Policy and Research. She recently finished her role as Project Manager with the Environics Research Group for the Urban Aboriginal Peoples Study – a leading edge national research project conducted on the lives of Aboriginal peoples living in Canada’s cities. She is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Public Policy at Simon Fraser University.
